  5. Pigeon Island National Landmark. An island with a causeway built to it 1972 by dirt excavated from the Rodney Bay Marina. A strategic British Stronghold in the 1700's - come learn about this islands reach history. All while enjoying the mowned grass or white sand beach. Get a clear picturesque view of Rodney Bay or even neighbouring Martinique!

This tour begins with a pickup from your location is a tour through the capital of St. Lucia. We first begin with La Place Carenage where you can get your duty free shopping done. We then move on to the local vendors craft market, where you get the chance to see St Lucia handicraft at its best.  Directy adjacent is the local food market where you get to see some of our locally grown fruits and veggies. The next stop is Morne Fortune where you could get a first hand look at the turbulent past that shaped St Lucia's current culture and landscape. Get to see the former barracks of british Soiders as well as their amory chambers. The final stop of the day will be Pigeon Island. This island is now accessible by a causeway and boast one of the most preserved insights into the 1700's. From forts to barracks and water storage chambers, earn how those structures was built either through a guided or self guided tour. You could also relax and cool off at the white sand beach on the west of the island or enjoy a picnic on the lawn grass to the east of the island; or how about enjoy the view of Martinique and the north of the island from the uppermost point of fort Rodney.
